Terms of Service

Effective October 2, 2026. These are the terms for using Preach Plan, the preaching calendar at preachplan.com and its iPhone app. They are written to be read. If anything here is unclear, write to me at adam@preachplan.com and I will answer you, and fix the sentence.

1. Who you are dealing with

Preach Plan is owned and run by Adam Hardegree, 2905 Gordon St., Orange Park, Florida 32073. “I” and “me” below means Preach Plan and me. “You” means the person who creates the account, and the church or ministry they create it for.

By creating an account or using Preach Plan, you agree to these terms. If you are signing up for a church, you are telling me you are allowed to agree to them for that church.

2. Your account

You need an email address you can read and a password only you know. One account is one person: do not share your sign-in; invite people instead (section 7). You must be at least 18 to create an account.

You are responsible for what happens under your account. If you think someone else has your password, reset it: a reset signs out every other browser and device at once.

3. Price and paying

Preach Plan costs $19.99 a month or $199.99 a year, in US dollars, plus any sales tax where it applies. There is one version, with everything in it.

  • You pay by card at checkout. Cards are handled by Stripe; Preach Plan never sees or stores your card number.
  • Your subscription renews automatically, monthly or yearly, until you cancel.
  • If the price ever changes, I will announce it on the pricing page and date it in the changelog at least 30 days before it takes effect, and it will not apply to your account until your next renewal after that.
  • Seats. People on a team with a Write or Admin seat are not billed until a seat price is announced on the pricing page. Read-only access is free and stays free.

4. The seven-day trial

New accounts start with a seven-day trial. You enter a card at checkout, and it is not charged until the seven days are up. I email you three days before the trial ends, so the charge is never the first you hear of it. If you cancel before the end of day seven, you are not charged. Each account gets one trial; an account that has had a subscription before is charged from the first day of a new one.

5. Cancelling, and refunds

You can cancel any time, without asking anyone: go to your billing page, open the subscription, and cancel. You keep everything you paid for until the end of the month or year you have already paid for, and you are not charged again.

Payments are not refundable as a rule, and there are no partial refunds for the unused part of a month or year. But if you were charged when you meant to cancel, write to me within 14 days of the charge and I will refund it. I would rather refund a pastor who did not mean to pay than keep the money.

6. What you put in is yours

Your calendar, your series, your manuscripts, your prep sheets and everything else you write in Preach Plan belong to you or your church. I claim no ownership of any of it. You give me permission to store it, back it up, and show it to you and to the people you invite, because that is what running the product requires. I do not sell it, I do not show it to anyone you have not invited, and it is not used to train AI models.

Taking it with you. While your subscription is paid you can export everything at any time: a spreadsheet file, an iCalendar feed, or a full backup that carries your manuscripts and prep sheets as well as the calendar. If your subscription ends, that export stays open for 30 days after it ends, the full backup included, so leaving is never a race. Any change to this will be announced on the pricing page and dated in the changelog before it takes effect.

A closed account is not deleted automatically. You can delete your account yourself at any time from your billing page, which removes it from the live database at once; copies in the hourly backups take about two months to rotate out, as the privacy page explains. Deleting an account ends its export window, so take a backup first.

How your information is handled is set out on the privacy page, which is part of these terms.

7. Teams

The person who owns a calendar can invite others by email, as read-only or with a Write or Admin seat. The owner is responsible for who they invite and for the seats on their subscription, and can take anyone off the team; if you want to come off one, ask its owner.

If the owner’s subscription ends, the calendar becomes read-only for everyone on it until it is renewed. If the owner deletes their account, the calendar they own is deleted with it, for everyone on the team. Anyone on a team who wants their own copy should download a backup first. People who are only on a team keep their own sign-in.

8. The AI assistant

Preach Plan includes an optional AI assistant. It helps with everything around the sermon: series titles, a check on how a series builds, questions to take into study, a summary of a section you wrote, and a planning partner for your year. It will not write your sermon.

  • What is included. Each paid calendar includes a monthly allowance of assistant use at no extra charge, and a smaller one during the seven-day trial. When a calendar reaches its allowance, the assistant pauses until the next month, or you can carry on by adding your own Anthropic API key.
  • Where your words go. When you ask the assistant something, the text it needs goes through Preach Plan to Anthropic, the company that makes the AI model, to produce the answer. Nothing you send is kept or logged by Preach Plan, and under Anthropic’s commercial terms it is not used to train its models. Nothing is sent unless you ask.
  • Your own key. If you add your own Anthropic key, the assistant uses it, your requests go from your browser to Anthropic directly, and they are billed to your Anthropic account under Anthropic’s terms, not by me.
  • Check what it says. The assistant can be wrong. Read what it gives you before you use it, the same way you would with any other help.

9. Scripture text

The Bible text shown in Preach Plan is from public-domain translations. Anything you paste or upload yourself, such as another translation, a commentary quote or an image, is your responsibility to have the right to use.

10. Using it fairly

Please do not:

  • try to get into another person’s account or calendar, or test the security of Preach Plan without asking me first;
  • use Preach Plan to send spam, including through team invitations;
  • copy, resell or rent out the product, or scrape it;
  • put anything in it that is illegal or that you do not have the right to use;
  • use more than one account to get around the assistant’s allowance.

If someone does, I may suspend or close their account. Except for abuse, I will tell you first and give you the chance to export your work.

11. The iPhone app

The Preach Plan app for iPhone and iPad is a free companion to your account. Nothing is bought inside it. Apple’s App Store terms also apply to your use of the app, and Apple is not responsible for Preach Plan or for supporting it.

12. Changes, and keeping it running

Preach Plan is built and run by one person. I work to keep it available and your work safe, and the app keeps working on your device when the internet does not, but I cannot promise it will never be down. I may change, add or remove features; if I ever remove something you rely on, I will say so ahead of time and make sure you can export your work.

If I change these terms, the new version will be posted here with a new date and noted in the changelog. A change that costs you money or takes something away will be announced before it takes effect. If you keep using Preach Plan after a change takes effect, the new terms apply.

Preach Plan is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, I make no promises about it beyond the ones written in these terms, including any implied promise that it suits a particular purpose. To the extent the law allows, I am not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and my total liability to you for anything to do with Preach Plan is limited to what you paid me in the 12 months before the claim. This does not limit anything the law does not allow to be limited.

14. Which law applies

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Any dispute will be settled in the state or federal courts serving Clay County, Florida, unless the law where you live says otherwise. Before anything like that, please write to me. Almost everything can be settled by email.
